Twinkle Bright Night

Please join us for some good old-fashioned sleigh ride fun at 6th & McKean Avenue
in front of the Christmas tree as we celebrate our second annual "Twinkle Bright Night"
on Saturday, November 26th at 6:00p.m. to await the arrival of a very special person.
Don’t be late!!
Visits with Santa will take place in Donora Smog Central.

Saturday, November 5th, 2011 *Rain, Snow or Shine

Donora Smog 5K Run/Walk and 10K Skate:

This is a nice, level, paved road and water stop will be provided at the halfway mark and benefits the Donora Smog Museum and Commemoration. All participants pre-registered by October 30, 2011 will be guaranteed a t-shirt and goody bag. Registration Fee: $15.00 After October 30th: $20.00 up until 10 minutes prior to race.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Donora Smog Museum located at 595 McKean Avenue.

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Symposium at the Donora Municipal Building with Guest Speaker Devra Davis, author of the book "When Smoke Ran Like Water", and Stephen Cropper from Channel 4 Action News will be guest speakers at the Donora Borough Building.

11:00 AM

Football Game between Donora and Monongahela will be held in the morning at Legion Field located behind Donora Elementary Center. This was the site where the rival teams played the original game during the height of the smog, honoring Alumni Football Players, Cheerleaders & Band Members from Class of 1949.

Alumni Luncheon will follow in Donora Elementary Center Cafeteria.

5:00 PM

Banquet will be held at the Donora Municipal Building.

Sunday, October 26, 2008

2:00pm-Memorial Service with an Interfaith Choir will be held at Our Lady of the Valley at the St. Philip Neri site.  

A Smog Museum will be open to the public to share photos and other artifacts from the smog during this time.
